Mathematics Workshops

Maths Adventures Ltd is offering a range of workshops this year for primary school teachers to learn and develop professionally in the learning area of mathematics and statistics. The workshops will be practical in nature on a range of topics, with teachers leaving with ideas, plans and resources ready to use in their classrooms. The workshops will be in the Wellington region in a variety of suburbs, and in other regions as requested. If you would like a workshop in your region or on a particular topic, please email ian@mathsadventures.co.nz

The first workshops this year will be planning workshops for primary school teachers teaching New Zealand Curriculum levels 2, 3 and 4. The goal of the day will be to plan one term’s mathematics programme. We plan to keep the number of teachers in each workshop low to allow each teacher to not only learn about planning and try activities but also to actually plan their own classes programme. The workshops are suitable for beginning and experienced teachers, especially useful for those who find planning time consuming or challenging .

The workshop will be led by Ian Stevens, an enthusiastic and knowledgeable facilitator with a wealth of experience and expertise.
